The ES A24U-G2421 boasts an IBM PowerPC FX 600MHz CPU and supports up to 12TB total system capacity when its 24 bays are populated with 500GB SATA drives.
Built around Infortrend's proprietary ASIC266 dual PCI-X architecture, the subsystem features a single RAID controller, two SCSI host channels, DDR266 cache memory, two dual-fan cooling modules, three power supplies, and an optional battery backup unit.
With reliable SCSI and clustering support, the EonStor A24U is a great, cost-effective storage solution to incorporate into disk farms, ATM service centers, and imaging stations that require RAID protection at a lower cost per gigabyte.
To guarantee easy service and maintenance, this new array comes with modular, field-replaceable units that can be conveniently accessed from the front or rear of the enclosure. A hard disk drive, power supply, battery module, RAID controller or cooling fan can be replaced within seconds in the event of component failure.
The A24U-G2421 chassis has been enhanced to reduce vibration resonance and its dual-speed cooling fans provide quiet operation and lower power consumption under normal operating conditions. With its auto switch cache and shutdown policies plus support for an optional battery backup unit and uninterruptible power supply, the ES A24U ensures data protection when critical conditions occur.
