The IDEAL/Contex FSC 3050 Magnum is used in the GIS, Reprographics, CAD, and Graphic Arts industries for color classification for vectorization, storage, retrieval, conversion to CAD, populating an online planroom, Scan-to-web, and Scan-to-Print. It can efficiently rasterize drawings up to 50” wide (E-Size) by any length on media up to 0.6” thick. The IDEAL/Contex FSC 3050 Magnum can be used stand-alone or as a component in a customized solution.
Color Accuracy
The IDEAL/Contex FSC 3050 Magnum conforms to the ICC standard. The IDEAL/Contex FSC 3050 Magnum is an accurate, two-dimensional sampling devices; document motion in one axis and electronic scan of the Charge Couple Device (CCD) semiconductor cameras is the other device. It is front-loading, and scans with unparalleled accuracy, +/- 0.1% in both the X and Y axis to ensure the most accurate scan possible. The entry-level copier interface, JETimage LITE, performs image capture, color mapping, and transfer directly to a standard inkjet plotter. The copier interface supports closed loop color calibration. The IDEAL/Contex FSC 3050 Magnum supports Area Diffusion Logic (ADL) which allows documents containing mixed photographic and line-art (including text) areas to be captured with greater detail.
High Performance Scanning
The IDEAL/Contex FSC 3050 Magnum has variable resolution settings from 50 to 600 dpi selectable in one dpi increments to match user requirements. This scanner can scan a typical E-Size color original at 1.3'' per second at 400 dpi turbo. The IDEAL/Contex FSC 3050 Magnum requires WIDEimage, the operating software for color scanning. The IDEAL/Contex FSC 3050 Magnum can extract color and patterns of color into separate layers which can then be converted to DXF and DGN vector files with WiseImage.

The IDEAL/Contex FSC 3050 Magnum supports color scanning applications. RasterID, intelligent title block contents recognition software with built-in, breakthrough OCR technology, automatically extracts title block information from scanned drawings to an archive database.
