Die Hermstedt Leonardo-SP PCI hat den Standard für absolut stabilen, hoch-performanten ISDN-Filetransfer gesetzt. Sie bietet eine "plug&play"-Komplettlösung für Filetransfer mit Macintosh oder Windows PC.
Die Leonardo-Karte unterstützt natürlich nicht nur Filetransfer, sondern auch CAPI- oder IP-Anwendungen, Internet-Zugang, Remote Access- oder Terminal Server-Dienste, sowie mit Modemoption auch Fax bis 14,4 kbit/s.In einem Rechner lassen sich problemlos auch mehrere Leonardo-Karten betreiben. Da die Karte aktiv ist und einen eigenen Prozessor besitzt, ist diese ideal geeignet für Kommunikationsserver mit vielen simultanen Verbindungen. Auch unter hoher Last ist stabiler Betrieb sichergestellt.
Sowohl unter Windows mittels "virtueller COM Ports" als auch am Macintosh mittels LeoPort können auch herkömmliche, Modem-orientierte DFÜ- Anwendungen ohne Anpassung über ISDN betrieben werden.
