Ugra/FOGRA Digital Print Control Strip - Newsprint (DKL-Z MI, M2, M3)
The Ugra/FOGRA Digital Print Control Strip - Newsprint DKL-Z is available for the standardisation of colour newspaper printing and the UgraIFOGRA Digital Print Control Strip-Newsprint DKL-ZE is available for the standardisat on of singlecolour newspaper printing. With the increasing digitisation of Prepress there is a trend towards the production of full-page films, that are generally output on image setters from digital data. Frequently, film is completely bypassed and the printing plate is imaged directly (Computer to Plate). Printing in accordance with the bvdm1FOGRA standard or ISO 12647-3 can be guaranteed with such a production, where the use of printing control strips on film is inapplicable. With digital data, it is no longer possible to cut out and use individual sections of the control strip, as could once be done with control strips on film.
Please note:
The evaluation of tone value increase (dot gain) must be based on the actual values on film or data (with CtP). The reason is that to some extent the Same Postscript command can be interpreted differently by each RIP-imagesetter combination, and it is also influenced by the resolution in question.
Digital DKL-Z can be used with all imposition programs for digital sheet assembly, if they can process EPS files and insert these as marks. The modules can be arranged as desired in, for example, an imposition program. They can be used with all PostScript capable output devices such as image or plate setters (CtP), colour copiers or off-press proof printing systems and PostScript capable digital input presses.
