FOGRA Print Control Strip DKL
These control strips are for the control of four colour proofing and production printing. They allow screen rulings from 60Icm to 80Icm and frequency modulated screens to be controlled during high quality offset printing.
The following process Stages or criteria can be monitored:
- Platemaking by means of the K/S panels, which are microlinelhighlight panels.
- lnking of the solid panels by the three process colours and black.
- Colour balance by means of the grey balance panels as well as a true grey panel.
- Trapping by means of the sequentially printed solid panels.
- Slurring and doubling by means of panel D (ruled).
- Dot gain by means of the 40% and 80% halftone panels.
Two versions of the FOGRA DKL are available:
100% version: Besides a few halftone panels this contains a large number of solid panels, which allows the almost unbroken control of the inking across the width of the sheet. It is intended for packaging printing and subjects with a lot of solid areas. The 100% version is available on positive and negative film.
80% version: Besides a few solid panels and 40% halftone panels this contains a large number of 80% halftone panels. This allows the inking of the halftones to be checked across the width. It is intended for publication printing.
