Das InstaGate 305 ist eine "Deep Packet Inspection" Firewall und schützt Netzwerke nicht nur vor den sog. Netzwerk Level Gefahren, wie verbindungsorientierten Angriffen und Denial of Service Attacken, sondern auch vor dynamischen Angriffen, wie z.B. Viren, Würmern, Trojanern, Spyware und Phishing.
Das 305 verbindet Deep Packet Inspection Firewall, IPSec VPN, Gateway Anti Virus, Netzwerk Intrusion Detection/Prevention, URL Black/Whitelist Filterung und Anti Spyware in ein einziges, leicht konfigurierbares System.
Die heutigen Gefahren für Netzwerke sind größtenteils anwendungsbasierend, also oberhalb von OSI Layer 4 zu finden. Der derzeitige Standard der Firewall Technologie, die Stateful Inspection Firewall, arbeitet überwiegend auf den unteren OSI Schichten (1-4) und ist somit kein wirksamer Schutz mehr vor den heutigen Netzwerkgefahren.
Nur eine Kombination aus Stateful Inspection Technologie und Content Überwachung stellt sicher, dass das Netzwerk ausreichend vor Angriffen geschützt ist.
Damit Sie auf der sicheren Seite sind, bietet das InstaGate 305 folgende Features:
* Anti Spyware*
Wirksamer Schutz z.B. vor Tracking Cookies, Dialern, Keystroke Loggers, Werbe Pop Ups, u.v.m. Anti Spyware blockiert:
o integrierte Installer, welche bei der Installation von heruntergeladener Software mit installiert werden
o "Drive-By-Installer" - Spyware wird durch anklicken von Pop Ups, etc. auf dem System installiert
o Spyware, die aufgrund von Sicherheitslücken in Webbrowsern im Hintergrund, ohne Einwirken des Benutzers, installiert wird
* Gateway Anti Virus*
Überprüft http, ftp, pop3 und smtp Verkehr auf Viren, Würmer, Trojaner oder andere Schädlinge. Infizierte oder verdächtig scheinende Inhalte werden entfernt und können somit keinen Schaden mehr im Netzwerk anrichten. Die Virendefinitionen werden automatisch aktualisiert, somit ist Ihr Virenschutz immer auf dem neuesten Stand
* Intrusion Detection/Prevention
Automatische "Anti-Fingerprinting" Technologie versteckt kritische Systeminformationen vor Systemscans, somit können keine wichtigen Daten, die Hackern als Hilfsmittel für Angriffe dienen, erspäht werden. Das System erkennt einen Angriff, indem es die empfangenen IP, TCP, UDP und ICMP Protokoll-Informationen mit den "Standard" Definitionen vergleicht und bei Abweichungen reagiert. Zur Auswahl steht das Verwerfen der Pakete und das Logging des Events.
Schützt vor 46 verschiedenen Intrusion Angriffen wie zum Beispiel:

* URL Filter
White/Blacklist Filterung verhindert den Zugriff auf unerwünschte Webseiten duch Benutzer innerhalb des Netzwerkes. Die in den Webbrowser eingegebene URL wird auf vorher definierte Schlüsselwörter durchsucht. Sollte es zu einer Übereinstimmung kommen, wird die angeforderte Webseite geblockt und es ist kein Zugriff möglich.

Objektbasiertes Management
Definieren Sie z.B. Subnet-, Gateway- oder Service-Objekte und benutzen Sie diese bei der Editierung der Policies. Sollte sich später z.B. etwas an den IP Adressen ändern, muß nur das definierte Objekt verändert werden und die Änderungen werden automatisch auf die Firewall Policies übertragen.
