The EonStor A08U-C2411-M1 ES Cube subsystem is a subsystem Tower for up to 8 SATA or SATA II hard drives, which can be connected via an LVD Ultra320 host channels to the appropriate server. A special feature is the ability to use the system and horizontally as a desktop, a maximum of 4 units can be cascaded. In this case, for ease of reading the LCD display is also rotated by 90 degrees.
Optionally, in these systems by means of appropriate additional adapter (not included) and the presence of P-ATA IDE hard drives are used, whereby an optimal investment protection is guaranteed.
The system has a variety of different management options. On the one hand, there is a simple RS232 terminal connection and an LCD display on the front panel are available, on the other hand, is also accessible remotely via Telnet via LAN or via a Java-based GUI tool (RAIDWatch) possible. A transmission error (error notification) by means of e-mail, fax, LAN broadcast, SNMP TRAPs, MSN Messenger, ICQ or
