Der Linotype-Hell Tango Scanner ist optimal geeignet für hochauflösende Scans.

Seine Auflagefläche ist eine Glastrommel. Das Abtasten der Vorlagen erfolgt spiralförmig anhand eines optischen Systems. Hiermit erreicht der Scanner eine sehr gute Schärfeleistung, und ist in der Lage einen Dichtewert von bis zu 4,2 exakt umzusetzen, d.h. auch in dunklen Bereichen erkennt er feine Abstufungen und schafft somit eine optimale Tiefenwirkung.
Der Auflösungsbereich liegt zwischen 100 - 11000 dpi. Das bedeutet, daß Bilder bis zu 3000% vergrößert werden können.
