To print accurate colors is now possible through the calibrated workflow SilverFast Printer
SilverFast's new technology provides precise colors from input to output safely, without requiring additional hardware and software!
Kiel, 15 May 2008 LaserSoft Imaging now has its award-winning SilverFast Ai Studio product line that adds Printer Calibration with ICC profiling. The new Printer Calibration is a consistently calibrated workflow from input to output, which generally provides all professional photographers, fine art printers, as well as advanced amateurs and ambitious users with high added value.
Since the advent of digital imaging, the creation of accurate color profiles for printing pre-press photographers and professionals alike challenged. A well-known approach is to use very expensive and very difficult-to-use tools and instruments to measure color plates as a reference value. Nevertheless, the engineers at LaserSoft Imaging a powerful and easy to be applied, have developed workflow that creates the need ICC color printer profiles, and it uses the existing scanner.
The "1-2-3 Click" SilverFast Printer Calibration uses the existing scanner in fully automatic workflow to enter calibration and then the printer for output. No other measuring instruments are needed. For users this means that no uncertainty in the handling of color printing, and no extra costs for additional hardware and software solutions.
The use of new technology for LaserSoft Imaging's Printer Calibration, a so-called "closed loop" color management workflow that applies to color management experts as the optimal solution, is now open.
A reliable and reproducible "zero defects" workflow ensures complete control and control of color, certainly from the input to output, with the following steps:
First, the scanner is automatically calibrated with SilverFast's patented IT8 Calibration.
Second, is printed with the printer Vollgamut printer profiling target with 1026 boxes and 1007 tones.
Finally, the target is printed, scanned and SilverFast creates an ICC profile.
The resulting ICC profile provides an accurate ICC color managed workflow for accurate color, with the lowest deviations. This allows the full, the available color gamut of the printer to reproduce the maximum number of available colors are used.
A major advantage of this new application is that it supports a very wide number of printer models, paper and ink types. One of the major limitations of traditional color management tools is their lack of focus on the many alternate print materials, using more and more creative users in their work. The SilverFast approach supports a much wider range of materials and enables the ambitious user to experiment with a wider portfolio of materials and print them.
Karl-Heinz Zahorsky, founder and CEO of LaserSoft Imaging AG, says, "We know that our customers expect not only superior quality of their scanners and printers, but that they also appreciate a reliable and simple workflow. Without buy new hardware to need, the new SilverFast Printer Calibration helps our customers to achieve high-quality printing results. "
