Extensions of the portal on demand

Manual for the MatchFlow Mask Portal:

1. Overview
The maskportal "MatchFlow Mask Portal" is an application, which users can use to select image
files and make them available for the masking service-provider for further processing of
the data. Masked illustrations are led back into the system and can be re-used by the
user.
The system runs on one or more „Helios-Filesystems“, on which the pictures that are
supposed to be masked are stored. All users can access the system over a web-browser
with the help of a web-application. Thanks to this, the system can be used from any operating
system and from any location.

2. Funktion

2.1 Registration
You may use MatchFlow Mask services after completing the simple online registration.
First steps to register:
a. Click on “Register” found on the MatchFlow Mask Portal homepage
b. Fill in the user data and click on “OK” to confirm
c. You will then be shown the terms and conditions for using MatchFlow Mask. Please read
through them and click the button to accept.
Important: You must accept the terms and conditions for every accomplishment
(e. g. Mask –Economy or Mask-Comfort)
d. Now you may Login using your username and password.

2.2 Sending Pictures
Before we can release the pictures for further treatment, we have to forward them to the
MatchFlow Mask Portal. We need your payment information’s at this point, for the later billing
of the amount of work that has been done. You can choose between payment by direct
debit or credit card. All data will be delivered cryptographically secure and kept confidential.
a. Click on “New Job”, enter the number of files that are supposed to be uploaded
and click on “Confirm”. The files automatically land in the own listing of the user,
archives (ZIP files for example) will automatically be unpacked.
b. Now you may look through and select specific files or archives.
c. You may keep the default name or give your own name for the job. The job name
will be used later in the invoicing.
d. Confirm by clicking-on “Send Job”. The data will be sent by standard data delivery
over HTTP.

Progress
After the files have been uploaded via the web-interface, they can be selected and put
into the shopping cart. When the user has finished his selection he can proceed to the
shopping cart site to launch the masking order. This order contains all the information that
is required by the masking service-provider. The shopping cart is now write-protected and
the included files will be assigned to the masking service-provider, who is connected to
the system. The assignment is made with a distribution key, in which all kinds of miscellaneous
criteria, like the extent of utilization of the masking service-provider, and its urgency
are considered.
A mask service provider can see the data which is assigned to him in his web interface. If
he wants to mask a file, he first has to look into the order description and then he can
download the file itself. This step is made with a low-res-file to keep the data volume low.
The masking process itself isn’t made in the system (programs like “Photoshop” are used
for this).
If a picture is masked, the mask-service-provider can upload the picture into the system.
The masks will be copied from the low-res-file into the high-res-file after the picture was
reassigned to the source file.
After this the status of the file will be changed to inform the user about the processing of
the picture. The accomplishment of this process will be saved for the payment.

3. Interface
As mentioned earlier the user accesses the system over a web-interface. The functions of
this interface will be described in the following sections. First of all the user has to log into
the system. The navigation is always made through a menu, from which all the functions
that the user can work with are opened.

3.1 Inserting files
The user can create a list for the masking order with help of a data navigator, as soon as
all files which are supposed to be masked are in the system. On the left site of the screen
you see the directory tree, with its help the user can navigate through the monitored data
system. On the right site you see the files within the actual directory. Files can be sent to
the shopping cart after pushing the assigned button. A shopping cart is a collection of
files, of which every user can administrate as many as he wants (he can for example
change or delete a file).

3.2 Creation of an order
The content of a shopping cart will be shown in the shopping cart section of the homepage.
A checkbox of the available shopping carts of the user will be shown at the top of
the screen. At the bottom of the screen the user can see the files which currently are in
the shopping cart.
It is possible for the user to create an order from the shopping carts page. After pushing
of the appropriate buttons a form is indicated, in which the information (job parameters),
necessary for the order, can be entered. A date for the completion, the kind of masking
and one optional description can be set in the masking order. After confirming the form,
the order will be generated and the shopping cart will be write protected, so that the content
can’t be changed afterwards.

3.3 Monitoring the order
It is possible for the users to view all the changes that were made on their picture in the
order monitoring system. The user receives a notification email, to let him know that his
picture is ready to download, as soon as the masking service-provider completes the order.

3.4 Downloading completed Pictures
Complete the following steps to download your pictures:
1. Choose a single picture or a whole job that you want to download. Confirm the chosen
pictures or job by clicking-on “Download Marked Pictures”.
2. Save the data on your computer. Depending on the operating system the decompression
will automatically start or must be pushed by yourself
3. The pictures that you uploaded to our system will be saved for a maximum of four
weeks. After this period of time we have to delete these files, otherwise our capacities
will be exceeded.
4. Completed jobs will be saved for 8 weeks.

4. Payment
The invoice will be automatically generated on the last day of the month. It will be possible
to generate weekly invoices when you have bigger volumes.
Complete the following steps to receive an online invoice.
1. Choose the button “Invoice”
2. In the overview you may download your invoice as a PDF on your computer.
If you want to have a complete overview of the services provided for you by MatchFlow Mask Portal,
we ask you to please download a copy of your PDF invoice by the end of each month.

We recommend to insert a flat PDF which can be written from any common workflow system. AGFA Apogee, Heidelberg Prinect, Creo Prinergy, Di Plot, if this function is enabled.
